Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's sons made their modeling debut at Paris Fashion Week

The two boys America last saw as toddlers getting hustled past paparazzi just walked a Paris runway, and they did it without either famous parent in the room.

Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, the sons of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, made their modeling debut at Paris Fashion Week on June 26, walking the Vetements menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show. TMZ and E! News both put them on the runway, and the photos are real.

What they wore

E! News logged the looks. Sean went moody: a long black satin blazer covered in patches, a matching button-up, a skinny tie, and baggy stonewashed jeans. Jayden kept it leaner, in a white tank, blue jeans, a brown leather belt with an oversized buckle, and a stack of silver chains. Vetements has built its whole brand on dressing famous-adjacent people and daring you to call it ironic, so honestly, casting these two is the most Vetements thing imaginable.

Nobody's mom or dad showed up

Here is the detail everyone fixated on: neither Britney nor Kevin was there. According to E! News, both parents sat it out and let the kids have the runway to themselves. You can read that two ways, and the internet picked both. Generous version: the boys wanted their own moment without a tabloid swarm forming around mom. Less generous version: this is the Spears-Federline family, and "everyone in the same building" has not been the default for a while.

A quick reminder of who these kids are

If you have not kept up, that is kind of the point. Sean and Jayden spent years deliberately out of frame. In 2023 they moved to Hawaii with Kevin and his wife Victoria, and for a stretch Britney went about three years without seeing them, by her own and Kevin's camp's accounts.

Jayden gave a rare interview to the UK's ITV back in 2022, when he was still a minor, and said of his relationship with his mom, "I 100 percent think this can be fixed. It's just going to take a lot of time and effort." In late 2024, TMZ reported the two had started reconnecting in person after Jayden moved back to California, though Kevin's attorney told the outlet at the time that any reconciliation was news to Kevin. Reasonable people can hold all of that loosely. It is a family that has done most of its growing up in public and clearly prefers to keep some of it private now.

The fashion turn is not totally out of nowhere. E! noted Jayden had been testing the waters, showing up at the Dior Cruise 2027 show in Los Angeles on May 13 before the Paris debut.

There is something genuinely funny and a little poignant about it. The two people who got the most invasive, least-asked-for childhood fame of the 2000s just chose, as adults, to walk toward the cameras on purpose. On a runway. In Paris. For a label whose entire personality is being in on the joke. Whatever the family dynamics are this week, the boys booked the gig themselves and showed up. That is the story.
